| Members of St. Vincent de Paul provide a variety of services to those
in need. They staff the Food Pantry and pick up food donations, visit the poor in their homes, answer the crisis line, and network
with other churches and agencies in order to develop
new programs that best meet the needs of those
less fortunate. Other events include:
Bench Community Supper
Sacred Heart and St. Vincent de Paul join with other bench area
churches to provide a meal once a week to their parishioners and
other residents of the Bench neighborhood. Sacred Heart Parish
is committed to serving this meal on the second Friday of every
month. The purpose of this gathering is to build community in the
Bench neighborhood. Families and faith groups are encouraged
to help in preparing, serving, and cleaning-up after the event.
Holiday Food Baskets
Members of St. Vincent de Paul, with the help of parishioners,
oversee and coordinate the signing-up of those in need, as well
as preparing, packing and, at times, delivering food baskets to
those in need during the Thanksgiving and Easter holidays.
