VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Research consistently shows that the most effective faith formation happens when the whole family is involved. Parents are the most significant influence on their children’s lifelong faith, and the home is the primary place where faith is lived and handed on. The parish’s role is to support and equip families—not to replace them.
The Church teaches that the family is the domestic church—the first and most important place where children encounter Jesus through ordinary family life: prayer, conversation, example, and love.
Our 2026/2027 Goal
To provide strong formation for children while more intentionally supporting families as the domestic church.
That means helping parents feel more confident and equipped to lead at home—offering simple, realistic ways to weave faith into already-busy schedules so that sharing our Catholic faith with children becomes a natural part of family life.
When & Where
- Sundays, 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.
- Weekly throughout the school year
Who Is Welcome
- All children in grades K–6 and their parents (at least one parent required for each class)
- Younger or older siblings are also welcome. Parents will need to provide supervision for them, and the lessons themselves are designed for the K–6 age group. That said, we truly welcome the whole family and would love for everyone to be present.
What a Typical Session Looks Like
- Worship together (pray & sing)
- Share a lesson as a group
- Break into smaller, age-appropriate groups to go deeper with the material
- Wrap up with a fun activity
NOTE: Parents stay involved the entire time. You’ll experience the lesson alongside your children and leave with practical ideas you can use at home.
A Word to Parents
We know family life is full. Our hope is
NOT to add pressure, but to offer encouragement, tools, and community so that faith feels more natural and sustainable in your home. We’ll focus on simple practices—prayer, conversation, celebrating the liturgical year, and living the faith together—that fit real family schedules
